«Propter hoc ecce ego lactabo eam, et ducam eam in solitudinem, et loquar ad cor eius.» – Hosea 2:14
1. Is Eremitorium a legal entity that can accept donations?
Definitely! Eremitorium is registered within the IRS, having a valid EIN, and possessing all the obligations and rights of a religious organization of its type.
One of these concessions established by tax law within the IRS allows Eremitorium to legally accept donations that can be claimed, to the fullest extent allowable under law, as tax-deductible by donors.
2. Who makes up Eremitorium?
Eremitorium is comprised of a tiny part of the body of Christ... a part full of love of God —in a donation of self to God alone— and full of love of neighbor —in ardent diakonia—, who, wanting to fulfill the desires of Christ, performs its works of charity gratis —that is, completely free (cf. Matthew 10:8)— and inconspicuously —without trumpeting, not even letting the right hand know what the left one does (cf. Matthew 6:3-4).
3. Does any member of Eremitorium get paid?
Never. A member of Eremitorium does everything out of love of God, giving freely what was received freely: life, time, material goods… everything!
A member of Eremitorium is content with living simply and frugally with the minimum sustenance for the love of God.
